Our mission is to have a positive and enduring impact on those we serve. Educate Tomorrow strives to have a positive and enduring impact on the academic, personal and professional lives of those we serve, helping students to mature into contributing members of our community. Educate Tomorrow provides holistic support services to youth and families who are currently in or aged out of foster care an

d/or are experiencing housing instability. Educate Tomorrow buffers the systemic pressures that our students endure. We also work relentlessly in every way possible to have a positive and enduring impact in the lives of those that we serve while helping others become strong members of our community. Educate Tomorrow also provides an opportunity to eliminate obstacles to help our community have a better future. Recent Achievements:
- Educate Tomorrow students have achieved a high level of graduation success, with 50 high school diplomas, 27 associates degrees, 25 bachelors, and three masters degrees.
- We raised and dedicated $424,000 in emergency assistance for students in financial crisis due to the coronavirus pandemic, allowing them to focus on their academics.
- And, despite the challenges posed by Covid-19, Educate Tomorrow’s AOK Scholars achieved a 91% college persistence/graduation rate this year – a 2% increase over last year. This level of college access, persistence and success is recognized as among the nation’s best in the field.

Garth serves as Director of Equal Opportunity at Florida International University, where his 18-year career has included leading the nationally ranked Center for Leadership. An FIU alumnus, he also serves as Adjunct Faculty in the College of Business and Department of Psychology.

Today, we are incredibly proud to celebrate our co-founder, Virginia Emmons, on earning her Doctorate in Higher Education and Community Development in the field of Community Psychology from University of Miami 💚🧡

For more than two decades, Virginia has dedicated her life to creating opportunities for others, helping students and families overcome barriers, challenge limiting beliefs, and discover their strength, purpose, and potential. Her work is rooted in the belief that education empowers people to become critical thinkers, compassionate leaders, and stewards of a healthier global community.

This achievement reflects not only years of academic dedication, but a lifelong commitment to transforming lives and building brighter futures for thousands of young people and families.

We are proud to celebrate our co-founder, Virginia Emmons, for being recognized by the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors during Women’s History Month for her extraordinary leadership, service, and impact.

From her roots in Greendale, Wisconsin, to founding Educate Tomorrow and helping create one of the nation’s only public boarding schools for students impacted by foster care and homelessness, Virginia has dedicated her life to expanding opportunity, building community, and creating lasting change.

Her journey has included service in the United States Peace Corps in Niger, leadership in education and philanthropy, community arts initiatives, and decades of advocacy for young people and families. This year, Virginia will also receive her Doctorate in Community Leadership from the University of Miami.

Virginia’s vision, compassion, and commitment continue to shape brighter futures for thousands of students and families in Miami and beyond. We are endlessly grateful for her leadership and inspired by the impact she continues to make around the world.

Meet Arjahnay Bouie, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology student at Florida International University 💙

Throughout her journey, Arjahnay has embraced every opportunity to grow—academically, personally, and professionally. With support from Educate Tomorrow, she’s gained access to resources, mentorship, and experiences that continue to shape her path forward.

One of those experiences was the P3 Summer Internship Program—focused on discovering her Power, Purpose, and Presence. This transformative opportunity helped Arjahnay deepen her self-awareness and strengthen her commitment to her future goals.

After graduation, Arjahnay plans to continue pursuing her passion for creating spaces where people feel empowered to dream big, put in the work, and turn those dreams into reality.
