Tonight in Savannah, Georgia 🌙🇭🇹

I’m here with the Haitian American Historical Society to honor our heroes Les Chasseurs Volontaires de Saint Domingue the brave Haitian soldiers who fought and died for a country that was not their own, yet whose courage helped inspire the birth of Haiti, the first Black republic in the world.

As I stand where history was made, I say “Ahinobobo” to our ancestors a word of pride, strength, and remembrance. Though this generation has yet to fully return the favor they gave to the world, I remain proud and deeply committed to their legacy.

I believe, with all my heart, that one day Haiti will rise again strong, free, and united, just as they dreamt it to be. 🇭🇹✨

🌍✨ Honored to Represent at the United Nations ✨🌍

On April 11, 2025, I had the profound honor of representing the Haitian American Historical Society at the 24th Infopoverty World Conference, held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York and streamed globally via UN Webcast.

The theme, “How Could AI Fight Poverty and Create Well-Being for All?”, brought together world leaders, technologists, and humanitarians to shape a future where artificial intelligence serves humanity not just industry.

I proudly stood alongside visionary voices, including Haitian leaders, as the Final Declaration and Action Plan was adopted. Our shared commitment: to harness AI for development, equity, and sustainability particularly in vulnerable nations like Haiti.

Together, we endorsed actionable projects focusing on:
• Digital access and e-welfare for all
• AI driven education and healthcare solutions
• Clean energy for disadvantaged communities
• Cultural inclusion and communication innovation
• Nation building strategies for fragile states like Haiti

This is more than a moment it’s a movement. I am committed to amplifying Haiti’s voice in global innovation and ensuring our communities are never left behind in this new digital era.

📜 You can now read the official Final Declaration on OCCAM’s website or reach out to me to learn more about the next steps and how to get involved.

Let’s lead with purpose and build with vision. 🇭🇹🤝🌐

Honoring Our Heroes This Memorial Weekend

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember and honor the brave souls who gave their lives in service to our country. From the founding of this nation to the present day, their sacrifice has paved the way for the freedoms we hold dear.

Among these heroes, we also recognize the Chasseurs Volontaires de Saint Domingue, over 500 Haitian soldiers who, in 1779, fought courageously alongside American forces during the Battle of Savannah. Their legacy reminds us that liberty has always demanded courage, and that the fight for freedom has never known borders.

As we reflect on their valor, may we also renew our commitment to unity, service, and purpose.

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” -John 15:13

“Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it. It flies with the last breath of each soldier who died defending it.”

To all who served and especially to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, thank you. We remember you. We honor you. We will not forget.

Happy Juneteenth!

Reflect on this: Haiti has been a Black Republic since 1804. Our ancestors, the Chasseurs de Saint-Domingue, played a pivotal role in the American Revolutionary War during the Siege of Savannah in 1779 and influenced the Louisiana Purchase. Yet, despite these significant contributions, slavery persisted in the U.S. until 1865, and the tragic assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. occurred in 1968. He had a “dream”.

Take a moment to delve into our history and recognize who you are and where you come from. Haiti’s current challenges are the result of complex historical and external factors, not just government corruption. Embrace and understand our rich heritage.
