When there’s a need, there’s a Lion! 🦁💙💛

Following the devastating 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck the southern Philippines last week, our twin club, the Davao Del Sur Host Lions Club, immediately organized a Disaster Relief Operation to assist affected communities.

The New Orleans Filipino American Lions Club (NOFALC) was honored to support this mission by providing financial assistance. Through our combined efforts, we were able to purchase 1,000 10-liter containers of drinking water and 1,000 loaves of bread, which will be distributed to families in several earthquake-affected areas.

We are deeply grateful to our twin club, the Davao Del Sur Host Lions Club, for taking the lead and coordinating this relief effort on the ground. One of the greatest benefits of having a twin club is that, even though we are thousands of miles apart, we can still work together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those in need.

A heartfelt thank you as well to the Davao City Host Lions Club for your partnership and dedication in making this relief operation possible.

Together, we serve. Together, we make a difference.

(Late Post)
January 11 Monthly Meeting.
We were pleased to have Stephen Mosgrove from Keep Algiers Beautiful (KAB) as our guest speaker, who addressed environmental concerns and KAB's community initiatives. NOFALC is a strong supporter of KAB.

A notable meeting highlight was Lion B**g and Lion Jackie Prudente's presentation on Dr. Cathy and Dr. Glenn Lo's Medical (Hearing) Mission in the Philippines, which profoundly touched the heart of the meeting attendees and demonstrated the life-changing impact of Oticon's hearing aids on recipients in the Philippines. Both Lion B**g and Lion Jackie received the First Vice DG Alden Merto’s "Touching Lives" pin for their participation and representation of NOFALC during the Hearing Mission.
