Good afternoon, With the breaking news on the new Jefferson Parish Mardi Gras rules and regulations, I have received numerous phone calls, texts and emails regarding the Krewe of Kings. I sincerely apologize for the lateness on the below.
Official Announcement from Captain Frey Thieler
After an unforgettable debut year, it is with deep sadness and regret that I am moving on from the Krewe of Kings. Despite the tremendous success of our return — from the incredible pre-parade celebration, to one of the most spectacular parade nights Jefferson Parish has seen in years, and the lively crawfish boil that capped it all off — Unfortunately the business structure and partnership needed to sustain the Krewe into 2026 did not fall into place for me to continue on.
This is truly a difficult and heartbreaking message to write. I am beyond grateful to everyone who helped make last year such a resounding success and a cherished memory.
But this is not the end… It’s a new beginning!
I’m excited to share that I’m already planning something bold, fresh, and truly special for 2027. I will be forming and building a brand-new club — one unlike anything Jefferson Parish has ever seen before — with an incredible opportunity for those who want to be part of something monumental. More details will be revealed as everything comes together. If you are a die hard, true Mardi Gras goer, fanatic or one who loves to ride, especially bringing back the old line Krewe style floats and pardes, this will be for you!!
To those who have already paid for 2026: You will receive a 100% refund.
Thank you again for the support, energy, and spirit you brought to Krewe of Kings. Stay tuned — the best is yet to come.
With gratitude and excitement for what lies ahead,
Frey Thieler
