Meet Jim “Doc” Miller!

Jim “Doc” Miller is a Menomonie singer and acoustic guitarist rooted in folk rock and Americana. Along with his original songs, Doc performs favorites inspired by the Woodstock era, from John Prine and Cat Stevens to Gordon Lightfoot, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and more.

His performances bring together familiar songs, musical storytelling, and plenty of opportunities to sing along.

We've counted 50 dragons downtown.

Dragons are hiding in businesses across downtown Menomonie—no swords or magic required! Explore local shops, discover new favorites, and collect numbers of at least 25 dragons for a chance to win Downtown Dollars (gift certificates redeemable at participating businesses).

How it works:

Starting August 1, 50 businesses will hide a flat green dragon with a number on it somewhere inside.

Write down the dragon’s number on your entry form next to the correct business.

Find 25 or more dragons to be eligible to enter the prize drawing.

Return completed forms by August 31 to:

C&J’s Candy Store & Scoop Shoppe – 342 Main St. E

Dragon Tale Books – 216 Main St. E

Winners will be drawn the week of September 1st.
