COURTESY POST: Meet Athena!

Athena was saved by a local family in July after her paw was run over outside of Huey’s Midtown. The family took her to the vet, got her all fixed up, vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. She is heartworm negative, great with other dogs, cats, and children.

An all around good dog 🩷 Even though we were unable to take Athena into the rescue’s care, we are hoping she finds the forever home she deserves.

If you are interested in learning more about this pretty girl, reach out to us and we will connect you with the family!

Rocko’s ideal home is with a lady (or ladies) with no other pets. He’s a, “I only have eyes for you” kinda guy, but is happy to meet and hang with other people. He is based in Memphis but can be transported as far as we can drive!

Rocko is still looking for his forever home 💛 and we have so much hope that the right family will find him.

You can find our adoption/foster applications in the link in our bio 🫶 Please share our boy Rocko, and let’s help him find the home he deserves.

Both girls are settling in nicely with their foster parents and taking in the world around them. At about 5 months old, these girls are getting the hang of potty training and overcoming fears each day!

They are ready to find a home to call their own and begin their forever 🩷

Happy National Black Dog Day 🐾🥰

Statistically, black dogs take longer than another other color dog to be adopted. This can be rooted in myth, superstition, stigma, or simply because people prefer lighter coats or unique markings.

Even though there are many reasons why families are quicker to adopt certain dogs over others, we want to make sure that our black coat adoptable beauties get the recognition they deserve 🥰

Zuri, T’Challa, and Rocko are all ready to settle into the next chapter of their lives! Learn more about them through the link in our bio 🐾
