What do you do with the love that remains? đź’™
What does it mean to grieve someone whose life was complicated? How do we hold love, anger, guilt, memories, and unanswered questions all at once?
SisterPlay is a new play inspired by the true story of playwright Elizabeth Ostler’s sister, Lisa, who died while in custody at the Salt Lake County Metro Jail.
At its heart, SisterPlay is about the complicated experience of loving and losing someone. It explores sisterhood, addiction, grief, and what happens when the circumstances of a life collide with systems never designed to see the whole person.
For anyone who has experienced a complicated loss or simply knows what it means to carry someone with you long after they are gone, SisterPlay offers an intimate space to sit with the questions grief leaves behind.
Don't miss the performance on Saturday, September 5th, which will feature a special post-show Talk Back guest, Rashida Sanchez, MA, LMSW, FT, COPE’s Clinical Program Manager.
