As someone who takes screenshots often, a lot of these are brand new information to me, and quite useful!

macOS ships with plenty of excellent screenshot and screen recording features—you just need to know where to look.

Delighted to be part of this!

The Bridge was thrilled to help organize and to participate in the Community Partners Fair for new MPS educators on Tuesday - a fantastic addition to the new teacher professional development days. Thanks to Melanie Acevedo, who came up with the event, for keeping community building front and center. Thanks to all the fantastic organizations that joined, who regularly share their time and expertise with the staff and students of the Melrose Public Schools. And thanks to the new teachers who stopped by to say hi; we had some good conversations about how volunteers can support their work.

Ever downloaded a file and then had absolutely no idea where it went? You’re not alone! Understanding the difference between your DOWNLOADS FOLDER and your DESKTOP will make things much easier for you!

Think of it like this:
Downloads = your receiving area (where downloaded files usually end up)
Desktop = your workspace (quick access to thing you need most)
Folders = your filing cabinet (where you organize files you want to keep)

Your downloads folder can get messy, quickly, so get into the habit of reviewing regularly, filing what you need and deleting what you don’t!
