Finally, it’s time to meet Alpha Sigma Phi! One of the oldest men’s fraternities in North America, Alpha Sigma Phi was founded in 1845 at Yale University, and we are excited to welcome them to Florida Tech this fall. Their vision, “to Better the World Through Better Men,” is perpetuated through a brotherhood based on their values of character: silence, charity, honor, purity, and patriotism. With over 98,000 alums and 6,000 active undergraduate members, ASig is one of the fastest-growing fraternities in the United States.

Meet Theta Xi! Originally founded as an engineering fraternity at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1864, Theta Xi transitioned to a men’s social fraternity in 1926 and has grown to include over 40 chapters and over 60,000 members nationwide. Theta Xi’s purpose is to cultivate “All True Men” by creating an environment focused on personal growth, physical and mental health, and service. Florida Tech’s chapter regularly participates in the clean-up of Melbourne’s Turkey Creek Sanctuary and has hosted a fishing tournament to benefit Brevard Zoo’s Restore Our Shores” project. Notable alums include Travis Kalanick, co-founder of Uber, and Jim Davis, creator of the Garfield comic strip.
