⚡ Do you rely on electricity for medical equipment and are concerned about power outages as we head into the colder months?

We wanted to pass along a resource from Pacific Power ! Their Oregon Backup Power Rebate Program offers eligible residential customers and Licensed Residential Care Facilities rebates of up to $4,000 toward qualifying backup power equipment, such as portable power stations, batteries, and generators.

To qualify, residents must rely on electricity for medical equipment and be enrolled in both Pacific Power’s Medical Certificate Program and Oregon’s Low-Income Discount Program, and care facilities must have an active Pacific Power account.

Funding is still available for 2026, but rebates are limited and awarded first-come, first-served.

We hope this is a helpful resource for families preparing for the season ahead. 💙

Paid Interview Opportunity: Young Adults with Special Health Care Needs Caregivers 💬

The Center for Outcomes Research & Education (CORE) is working with the Oregon Health Authority to learn about the experiences of Oregon Health Plan (OHP) members who receive services through the Young Adults with Special Health Care Needs (YSHCN) program.

CORE is conducting a small number of paid virtual interviews ($50) to gather feedback about the program. You may be eligible if you live in Oregon and are the primary caregiver of a young adult ages 19–21 who receives YSHCN benefits.

Interviews take about one hour, and participants can choose to receive $50 in cash or a gift card.

Slots are limited, so reach out soon if you’re interested and eligible!
