EAA Chapter 734

EAA Chapter 734 EAA Chapter 734 meets at 2:00 p.m. CT on the first Sunday of every month at Carroll County Airport (KHZD) on Highway 22 between McKenzie and Huntingdon, TN.

Whether you fly, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our chapter. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, and pilots who get together with like minded people to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local aviation community and have a lot of fun doing so.

EAA Chapter 734 Meeting This Sunday

We plan to have Ice Cream this Sunday, August 2, at the EAA Chapter 734 Gathering/Meeting. It will be at the Carroll County Airport (normal location), at 2pm (normal time), and August 2 is the first Sunday (normal day).

The Runway will probably still be closed for sealing and painting, so check NOTAMS before trying to fly in.

Dale might be there as he is on his way back to Tennessee. He has both Cessna 182s back from Alaska. Of course he can’t fly in if the runway is closed.

This month’s Chapter 734 Gathering/Meeting will be on July 12 so everyone has plenty of time to celebrate the country’s birthday. Shoot a bottle rocket and eat some watermelon this weekend. See you next weekend at the Carroll County Airport (HZD) at 2pm for the EAA meeting. If you plan to fly in be sure to check NOTAMs as they will be sealing and painting the runway, taxiway, ramp, and hangar areas starting next week which will have some or all areas closed at times all this month.

EAA Chapter 734 gathering Sunday, April 12, 2pm at Carroll County Airport. We are going to have pizza. Join us for some food and some aviation stories.

Dale likes pizza but that is him in the picture flying by Mt. Rainier in Washington State. He has more of the project to do in Washington before he heads to Alaska. He has also been promoted to Lead Pilot. I guess I would give up a slice of pizza to fly by an active volcano.

Kevin commonly known as Crash would probably eat some pizza but he has joined the Marines. He says he will be flying within two years.

Mississippi Maddie would also like some pizza but she is off at collage. She finished her Commercial in January. She is almost done with Multi Engine. And should be starting CFI classes any time.

So everyone else has to take up the slack and eat more pizza.
