🎉 We are almost halfway to our fundraising goal! 🎉

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, we have raised $6,759 toward our $15,000 goal for Relay For Life of Carroll & Jo Daviess Counties.

Every dollar raised helps the American Cancer Society continue funding lifesaving research, supporting patients and caregivers, and working toward a future without cancer.

Whether you’ve donated, participated in a fundraiser, volunteered, or simply shared our mission, thank you for helping us move closer to the finish line.

No two stories are the same, but every story matters. Each person who Relays carries a reason in their heart—and those reasons are what make this movement so powerful.

“Cancer entered my life 27 years ago when my dad lost his battle with kidney cancer. Then again 6 six years later when my mom lost her battle from ovarian cancer.

My dad passed 4 months after his diagnosis and my mom passed 3 weeks after diagnosis.

When I raise money for Relay For Life, I know the money is going to the American Cancer Society who are working hard for early testing and to find a cure.

Relaying is my way to not only honor my parents memory but also being a part of putting an end to the horrible disease.”

Relay For Life is about community, hope, remembering loved ones, celebrating survivors, and fighting back together. No pressure. Just purpose.

Our Carroll & Jo Daviess Counties Relay For Life has officially raised $4,406 toward our $15,000 goal! Every dollar raised helps support the fight against cancer and brings hope to so many families.

No two stories are the same, but every story matters. Each person who Relays carries a reason in their heart—and those reasons are what make this movement so powerful.

“I Relay for my Aunt Nan. She has been through so much, yet continues to overcome hardship after hardship with incredible strength. It brings tears to my eyes to see how she still shows up with such a positive mindset and never gives up. I only hope to carry even a piece of her spirit with me. She is a breast cancer survivor and deserves every bit of celebration.

I also Relay for my kids. I want to show them the importance of community, compassion, and coming together to support others.

I Relay for the many loved ones in my life who have been affected by this horrible disease. Relaying is my way of fighting back and helping create hope for a future without cancer.”

💜 Relay For Life Kickoff was a success! 💜

Thank you to everyone who came out today and joined us for our Kickoff event from 12–3 PM. We were so grateful to welcome 35 people this afternoon as we begin another Relay For Life season together.

We may be a small group, but we are mighty. Every person who showed up matters, and every bit of support helps us continue building this event bigger and stronger each year.

Seeing our community come together reminds us what Relay is all about — hope, support, and making a difference in the fight against cancer.

A very special thank you to our guest speaker, Roxanne, for sharing your time, heart, and inspiring words with us today. We are so grateful for you.

A huge thank you as well to Manny’s Pizza for your support and helping make today possible. We truly appreciate your generosity.

We are working to grow this event and bring even more people into the mission, and today was a wonderful step forward. This is only the beginning, and we can’t wait for all that’s ahead this year. 💜
