Wednesday night, we gathered to remember, to honor, and to hold space for one another. Then nature gave us a moment none of us will forget.

Partway through our Candlelight Vigil, a sudden storm rolled in. Wind picked up, rain came down, and for a moment it felt like the night might not go as planned. But nobody left. We huddled together, shielded the things we could, and weathered it. Just like we do with everything else in recovery.

And then, as quickly as it came, the storm passed. And there it was: a rainbow, stretched right over all of us.

It felt like more than weather. It felt like a reminder of exactly why we do this work. That the storms in recovery, in grief, in life, don't get the final word. That something beautiful is almost always waiting on the other side, if we can just hold on to each other long enough to see it.

Thank you to everyone who came out, who stayed through the rain, and who reminded us all what community really looks like. Every candle lit Wednesday night represents a life, a story, a person we love and remember. πŸ’›
