We've got another double ! 🩵💚

First Mid Bank & Trust is one of our most dedicated partners! Their team comes out to volunteer to build our homes EVERY year. 🏡 Recently, seven volunteers came out to install Ox Engineered Products outside insulation on the exterior walls for our Mattoon home build. They rocked it like they always do and completed three sides of the home including the back gable! We are so grateful for our generous donors and volunteers!

Every Thursday is a around here, but this one is a double! 🩵💚

Two students from LIFT Central Illinois (Macie Alwardt & Daezen Compton) from the Culinary Arts/Hospitality pathway chose Habitat to be the recipient of their coffee cart fundraiser. They planned and executed the fundraiser themselves. ☕

Rural King is SO much more than America's Farm & Home Store. Their RK Foundation for Rural America is a charitable organization dedicated to supporting their home region and initiatives within education, family wellness, veterans, and agriculture-based youth leadership programs. Their goal is to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and the communities they serve throughout the Rural King footprint- and they are truly accomplishing that mission through their work with Habitat.

In addition to their generous financial support, Rural King employees volunteer on every home build. From siding the shed, to painting walls, to seeding the yard, they are some of our most dedicated friends.

Just consider this impact the next time you go shopping. In ONE year:
🎓 The RK Scholarship Program awarded $69,725 in scholarship money.
❤️ The RK Hardship Fund granted $86,878 in financial support to associates.
🔨 Their Store Support Center recorded 447 Total Hours Volunteered.
🙏 Harvest of Hope resulted in $38,000 Donated to Local Christian Organizations & Churches.
