We made amazing progress today; however, we have a few leaners and hanger "trees" all over the property, but a few are very close to the visitor center. We are also still without power. The weekend activities and hours are TBD. Pending no major hiccups, we plan to resume summer camps and programs as normal on Monday, June 22.

We are thankful our buildings were untouched but our grounds and trails need major TLC. The entire property will be closed June 18, including the cancelation of all programs and camps. We are thinking of all those around us that were affected far greater by this storm.

ALL PROGRAMS, INCLUDING SUMMER CAMPS, ARE CANCELLED FOR 6/18/2026. THE GROUNDS AND VISTOR CENTER WILL ALSO BE CLOSED!

The Douglas-Hart Nature Center received extensive damage on Wednesday evening. Thankfully, the buildings are okay, but our sign and solar panels are damaged, and SEVERAL trees are down, making the trails impassable. (Trust us, we tried - downed trees on EVERY trail). We have no power, and our solar panels cannot provide backup since they are damaged. We apologize to our camp families and appreciate everyone's understanding as we begin cleanup efforts in the morning.
