30 years of experience. One vision. 20 students learning a new skill.
Meet Enrique, a tailor and pastor in Nicaragua who had a vision to use his skills to help others create opportunities to support their families.
After 30 years working as a tailor, Enrique wanted to pass along his knowledge to the next generation.
Through the Bless Back Worldwide Business Academy, we were able to partner with Enrique to help establish a sewing trade school at his church.
Today, 20 students are learning how to sew, gaining practical skills that could help them earn an income, start their own businesses, and provide for their families.
This is what sustainable community development looks like—empowering local leaders, investing in practical skills, and creating opportunities that extend far beyond a single classroom.
And it all started with one man's vision to make a difference in his community. ❤️

At Bless Back Worldwide, some of the most impactful work happens quietly—through consistent, relational care in local communities.
Meet Marlous.
Marlous is a nurse serving as a missionary in the Dominican Republic alongside her husband and two children. After moving from Haiti almost three years ago, she has been faithfully serving across four communities as a community health promoter.
She regularly visits patients who are chronically ill—those who require ongoing care, daily medication, and consistent follow-up.
Through this work:
• Patients receive daily prescribed medications
• Families receive vitamins and preventative care
• Individuals receive ongoing encouragement and support
This is care that doesn’t just show up once—it continues.
In Nicaragua, this same model is expanding.
Bless Back currently has 15 community health promoters, each serving their own village. These trained women:
• Visit patients in their homes
• Monitor vitals and support medication routines
• Teach healthy practices within their communities
Our lead promoter, Sandra, is also a dietician—helping patients improve their health through intentional nutrition and personalized meal planning.
This is what empowering local leaders looks like.
Not short-term aid—but sustainable, community-based care led by people who know their communities best.
