Celebrate Recovery Maryville This program models a healthy Christ-centered community of sustained recovery. Many of the people who come to CR or volunteer attend other churches.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered program focused on helping people overcome their habits, hang-ups and hurts. Each Wednesday night people gather for a light meal at 5:30 ... worship at 6:30 ... and small group sharing sessions at 7:40 pm. CR Maryville isn't just for people at 1st United Methodist Church (where we meet). CR Maryville is associated with the national Celebrate Recovery program which launched more then 20 years ago at Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, CA.

Kari McClain is grateful believer in Jesus Christ who celebrates recovery from drug, alcohol , sexual abuse and codependency. She serves as women’s chemical dependency group leader at Shoreline church’s Celebrate Recovery. She is also a 12 step leader.

Kari believes as Christians, CR is what the church should look like.

Proverbs 3:5-6 “ “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”

When you are battling hurts, hang-ups and bad habits, it can seem as though the world sees you as something broken and in need of "discarding." Through the lens of Matthew 5:10 we learn why it's so important for you to say "Yes" when the rest of the world is saying no to those who are broken and in need of recovery.
