Hey all! Here's a little update on Mom ❤️

Mom and Dad first want to say how absolutely overwhelmed and blown away they are by the amount of love and support our family has received over the last two and a half weeks. The donations, shares, visitors, calls, messages, prayers, and encouragement have been incredible. We are incredibly blessed, and I honestly can’t thank everyone enough.

Mom is doing extremely well and continues to amaze all of us. She’s in unbelievably great spirits!

This week she had her third surgery to repair a fracture in her hand, which went very well. She met with a dentist today and had some sharp edges on her chipped teeth repaired.

Then we got some great news: for Mom’s birthday Friday, she is scheduled for what we are hopeful will be the final major surgery on her leg!

The plan is to remove the external fixator, repair the fractures in her lower leg, and complete the final repairs related to her amputation. After that, she’ll spend about three months in a knee immobilizer while everything heals, with the hope of eventually getting her ready for a prosthetic.

If all goes well Friday, the next step will be recovery and hopefully a move to a rehab facility before she can finally head home.

Through all of this, Mom’s attitude has been amazing. And yes, we’re still keeping things light with plenty of jokes about half-priced pedicures and premier parking at her expense. 😂

Thank you again to everyone who has supported Mom and Dad in any way. It truly means more than I can say.

Please feel free to share this update and her story, as it means the world to us. We are so grateful for everyone who continues to rally around Mom. ❤️
