Heavenly Father, Watchful Protector of those who serve,

We ask for Your special grace and protection as our brothers and sisters of the Fraternal Order of Police travel across the state this weekend. You know the dedication in their hearts and the sacrifices they make daily as they stand on that thin blue line, serving as the barrier between peace and chaos.

As they step away from their posts to gather in fellowship, we pray that You clear their paths and guide them safely to their destination. Grant them alert minds and steady hands on the road. Shield them from danger and mechanical failure. May this weekend be a time of renewed strength, strong fellowship, and shared wisdom.

When the conference concludes, wrap them in Your continued protection. Bring them safely back to their homes, to the loved ones who await them, and to the communities that rely on their courage.

Law Enforcement officers often are the first ones to identify the food and lodging insecure members of our community, and then direct them towards help. It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss that we announce the passing of our longest-standing and one of the most dedicated members, Brother Bob Brining. Bob was a pillar of our local Lodge, a steady anchor for our membership, and a faithful guardian of our fraternity for decades.

To his law enforcement brothers and sisters, Bob was more than just a member—he was a piece of our history, a mentor, and a true keeper of the thin blue line.

Let us pray:

Heavenly Father, Almighty God,

We come before You today as a fractured community of brothers and sisters in blue, mourning the loss of a giant among us, Brother Brining. We thank You for his decades of unwavering service, his fierce dedication to this Lodge, and the protection and guidance he offered to generations of officers who walked the beat after him.

Lord, we ask that You welcome Bob into Your eternal kingdom. Guide him to that place where there is no more pain, no more darkness, and no more danger. Grant him the peaceful, eternal rest he so richly earned after a lifetime of standing in the gap between good and evil.

We pray for his family, his friends, and every officer who feels the weight of this empty seat in our Lodge. Comfort them in their grief, grant them the peace that passes all understanding, and wrap them in the strength of our collective fraternity.

As Bob stands his final post in heaven, give us the courage to carry on his legacy of integrity, service, and brotherhood. May we always honor the standard he set for us.
