We’re riding and walking on Sunday, September 27 to raise money for Three Squares New England- because everyone deserves three square meals a day and food insecurity in Massachusetts and Rhode Island isn’t going away on its own.

Got tuna? We do! Last month local fishermen donated fresh caught tuna through the Greater Boston Food Bank and it went straight to our community! Straight into the hands of neighbors who needed it.

Though we can’t guarantee this all the time - we often get fresh donation like this. Some weeks it’s fresh catch, local produce, or pantry staples. In the winter, it might even be venison from local hunters!

Every donation, big or small, expected or surprising, helps us keep the shelves full and our neighbors fed.

If you’ve got something to give, we’d love to see what comes through our doors next! 🍎

Hunger doesn’t ask who you are before it shows up. So neither do we.

Marshfield is home to neighbors from every background, every story, every walk of life, and every single one of them deserves a seat at the table. That’s not a slogan for us. It’s how we show up, every day, for every neighbor who walks through our doors.

This holiday, we’re grateful for a community that shows up for each other with no exceptions, no conditions. That’s the kind of independence worth celebrating.

Happy fourth, Marshfield.🍎 🇺🇸

13,000 pounds. 13,000 pounds of food.

That number is hard to even wrap around your head until you witness what it actually takes to make something like this happen.

This past Saturday, Marshfield showed up in the most incredible way for the National Letter Carrier Food Drive. We are still processing the magnitude of what was accomplished together.

Our carriers went far beyond an already demanding day, collecting food across town with care, patience, and determination. Furnace Brook Middle School opened their doors to us, giving us the space to receive, sort, stack, organize and move an overwhelming amount of food through in just hours. Nearly 100 volunteers walked through those doors ready to work. Young kids, lifting bags beside grandparents. Friends, families, neighbors, students, athletes, parents. So many hands doing heavy lifting in every sense of the phrase.

It was hard work, physical work. But it was also a community in its purest form. That is what care looks like when people choose to show up for one another.

To every single person who donated food, carried boxes, sorted cans, directed traffic, loaded trucks, gave up their Saturday, or simply believe this mattered… Thank you. Truly. Marshfield did not disappoint. You helped fill our shelves and remind us what a community is capable of when we move together. 🍎

Your mailbox matters more than you think this week!

This Saturday, May 9th, our local letter carriers will be collecting food donations right from your mailbox or PO Box as part of the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive. This drive supports The Marshfield Food Pantry, and communities across the country.

Your donation bag and information packet should be arriving in the mail today or tomorrow so keep an eye out for it

All you have to do is fill a bag with non-perishable food items and leave it by your mailbox or PO Box before mail delivery on Saturday. Your letter carrier will do the rest!

It’s one small act that creates a very real impact for neighbors quietly navigating food insecurity right here in our own.

Every can, every box of pasta, every bag left by a mailbox adds up.

We are endlessly grateful to our letter carriers, volunteers, and every household choosing to participate. Community care is built through moments exactly like this.

Let’s help fill the pantry shelves together this Saturday. 🍎
