Marshfield, this Saturday is Halloween. It’s also the fourth annual food drive for our pantry.

Before the trick-or-treating starts, swing by the Ventress Library parking lot (right in front of the pantry) anytime between 10 AM and 2 PM with a bag of non-perishable food. Every can goes onto our shelves, then home with local families who shop with us.

A big thank you to the Marshfield Democratic town committee for hosting this drive for the fourth year, plus every neighbor who stops by.
We are so grateful for the continued support!

Can’t make it Saturday? Donation info is always at www.marshfieldfoodpantry.org. 🍎

Marshfield, if you’re worried about groceries, a heating bill or keeping a roof over your head, there’s one number that can point you in the right direction: 2-1-1.

2-1-1 is a free, confidential helpline for everyone in Massachusetts. When you call, you talk with someone who listens to what’s going on and connects you with programs near you. That could be food pantries + meal programs, help with heating + electric costs, or rental assistance + shelter options. The line is answered 24/7, and help is available in many languages.
If you’d rather look on your own, go to helpsteps.com (or the HelpSteps app). Type in what you need + your zip code, and it shows you what’s closest. If your phone can’t connect to 2-1-1, call 1-877-211-6277 instead.
Asking for help takes courage, and it’s what neighbors do for each other. If you don’t need this right now, share it. Someone you know might. 🍎

Our pantry info is always at marshfieldfoodpantry.org.

Marshfield, your food pantry just received a $10,000 grant from Dunkin’.

It happened because Samantha Lloyd thought of us. Samantha nominated the pantry for this grant, and we’re so grateful she did. Thank you, Samantha, for speaking up for your neighbors.

Every bit of food on our shelves is bought with donated funds, so a gift this size goes a long way here. It helps keep fresh produce + family favorites stocked for the neighbors who shop with us each month.

Thank you to Dunkin’ for choosing to invest in Marshfield.

Want to help too? You can give once or monthly at marshfieldfoodpantry.org. 🍎

Marshfield, we’re looking for neighbors who speak Portuguese.

We want every Brazilian neighbor who shops with us to walk in knowing they’ll be understood + taken care of. Having a volunteer who can translate during open hours means no confusion, just a good visit.

If you speak Portuguese + English + can give a few hours while we’re open, we’d love your help. Sign up at marshfieldfoodpantry.org/volunteer + add Portuguese in the Language Proficiency field.

Fala português e inglês? Venha ser voluntário com a gente. 🍎

Marshfield, you filled more than 10 carriages this weekend.

That’s 10+ carriage loads of food, given by neighbors for neighbors. It’s all headed to our shelves, then home with the local families who shop with us.

To everyone who dropped something off, thank you. Weekends like this are how our shelves stay full. 🍎

Want to keep going? Donation intfo is at marshfieldfoodpantry.org.

Marshfield takes care of Marshfield.

There’s something special about small towns, where a passion becomes a collection + a collection becomes part of the town story.

All summer long, Carolyn showed up three mornings a week at Green Harbor to lead our community in yoga. Every class was by donation: 635 pounds of food + $863 was raised for the Marshfield Food Pantry.

Thank you, Carolyn, + thank you to everyone who rolled out a mat + supported your neighbors this summer. 🍎

300 families. Every month. That’s who the Marshfield Food Pantry feeds, and most of that help comes from people in this town, deciding to chip in.

Saturday is one of the easiest ways to do it.

The Marshfield community rib cookoff is back at the Fairgrounds, 12-6PM. Ribs, live music, kids stuff, the works. $12 in advance, under 12 are free. Free parking, rain or shine.

100% of proceeds goes to local organizations and the Food Pantry is on the list

Grab your wristbands before Saturday and you’re in the raffle too.

Come eat ribs. 🔥 Feed your neighbors. 🍎

We’re riding and walking on Sunday, September 27 to raise money for Three Squares New England- because everyone deserves three square meals a day and food insecurity in Massachusetts and Rhode Island isn’t going away on its own.

The MFP team is being lead by our one + only Barbara Taylor! Use the link to join our team, or back us with a donation. Every dollar and every mile counts.
