This week, our Rotary Club had the privilege of helping place iPads into the hands of students across Williamson County Schools.
Support from our community continues to make this possible year after year. The Southern Illinois Chili Cook-Off brings people together for a great cause, and the impact reaches far beyond that one day. We are incredibly appreciative of everyone who plays a part.
We also want to recognize the teachers, SLPs, and therapists who advocate for their students every day. Your commitment and care do not go unnoticed.
These devices will give students new ways to communicate, engage in learning, and connect with the world around them.

Member Spotlight Jessica Farmer!

Jessica has been a valued member of the Williamson County Heartland Rotary for seven years. Her local banking career has led her to her current role as Vice President and Marketing Director for SouthernTrust Bank, where she brings 16 years of experience. Jessica is grateful for the many opportunities and connections her career has provided. A faithful woman of God and a member of Abundant Life Church, her faith and heart for service fuel her passion for giving back.

Currently serving as Treasurer of the Rotary club, Jessica has also held several other leadership roles. As a proud mom of three young adults, she is committed to showing her children the importance of serving others. When asked her favorite part of Rotary, Jessica shared, “I am the one that gets blessed every time I am able to help or serve someone else. Our club is known for our ever-evolving service projects, with weekly speakers who bring to light the current needs in our local area. Not only does our club brainstorm solutions, but we step up ready to do the work. We have no objective in our club other than ‘Service Above Self,’ and I am proud to be part of it!”

Our community's resilience and compassion shined bright today. We officially handed over the coats from our coat drive Thanks to your kindness, we were able to deliver coats, toys, and gift cards to those in need, bringing some joy to their Christmas. The demand for support in Southern Illinois, especially Williamson County, is significant, and Caritas Family Solutions continues to provide crucial assistance to families and youth during their darkest moments. Thank you to all who donated, spread the word, and got involved. This is what community looks like. ❤️🎄
