Last chance to apply! We’re seeking eight cities, towns and villages to join NLC and the State Exchange on Employment and Disability (SEED) for a day and a half of learning, planning and peer-to-peer networking.

This learning lab – held in Washington, D.C. on May 6 and 7 – will address workforce challenges and talent development opportunities for residents with disabilities.

To be considered for this initiative, applicants must submit a fully completed online application by Tuesday, March 24.

The application for T-Mobile Hometown Grants opens today!

Through T-Mobile Hometown Grants, towns with a population of 50,000 or less can get up to $50,000 to bring your community project ideas to life. The current grant cycle begins today, Monday, January 5, and will close on Tuesday, March 31, 2026.

Since the program’s launch in 2021, T-Mobile has distributed over $20 million to 450 communities across the nation.

FYI, units of local government and not-for-profit organizations:

The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation is now accepting grant applications to provide relief to help clean up cemeteries that have been abandoned, neglected, or are otherwise in need of additional care. These grants are up to $20,000. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements and be registered in the GATA portal. The deadline to apply is October 24, 2025.
