For anyone stuck hurting over an ex who’s painting you out to be the villain, remember this:
Don't always focus on the "good"
There are always two sides to every story.
Don’t let heartbreak make you forget the things you silently tolerated just because you loved them.
Remember the disrespect you brushed off. The flirting with other people right in front of you. The secret conversations. The times you were breaking inside and they never once asked if you were okay.
The emotional distance. The way your feelings and opinions were dismissed until you started questioning your own worth. The way you gave loyalty to someone who only showed up when it benefited them.
Some people are really good at controlling the narrative, especially when they need validation from others instead of accountability from themselves. But time has a way of exposing patterns.
Eventually the same issues follow them into the next relationship, and eventually the people around them start noticing the contradictions, the lies, and the damage they leave behind.
You don’t have to defend yourself to everyone. Keep your peace. Heal quietly. Grow from it. The truth always surfaces eventually, whether you call it God, karma, or life doing what it does.
Keep your head up. Some losses end up being protection in disguise.
