At our next meeting, May 18th, we will be outside hosting the coffee station for the 2K walk and food drive. Come by and enjoy a great walk around the Marion VA Campus and help us stock the veteran food pantry.

December 16th is our Christmas Potluck. We invite you to come from 1205 -1pm in the Beh Med Bldg, room 245. We will have some great food but ask that you bring your own drink. Patti will give a short presentation on "Why December 25th" and share several interesting facts about Christmas.

It only takes seven seconds for someone to look at you and form assumptions about your age, education, economic level, profession, heritage, and more.

For speakers, that means when you approach the lectern or take center stage, the audience sees more than just clothes, accessories, or makeup; those seven seconds are an opportunity to present who you are as a person as well as an effective communicator. Appearance is identity. How do we acknowledge and respect that?
