🎀 Congratulations to SIU Credit Union on the grand opening of their newest Marion location!

The Marion Chamber was honored to celebrate alongside community leaders, staff, members, and supporters during yesterday's ribbon cutting ceremony. Speakers recognized SIU Credit Union's more than 88 years of service to Southern Illinois and their continued commitment to investing in the communities they serve.

This beautiful new facility represents continued growth for the organization and provides a convenient new location for members throughout Marion and the surrounding area.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the celebration, and congratulations to the entire SIU Credit Union team on this exciting milestone!

Join the Williamson County Veterans Assistance Commission (WCVAC) as we celebrate the opening of our office with a Ribbon Cutting & Welcome Event!

📍 500 North Holland Street, Marion, IL

This special event is open to veterans, their families, community organizations, local leaders, and the public. Come meet the WCVAC team, tour the office, learn about available resources, and help us celebrate this exciting new chapter of support for Williamson County veterans.

🍪 Light refreshments and snacks will be provided.

⭐ Help Us Honor Our Veterans Bring a copy of a photograph of a family member or friend who served in the military for display in our office entryway. If possible, include their name, rank, branch of service, and years served on the back of the photo.

🎁 Optional Donations Welcome We're also collecting unopened grab-and-go food and beverage items for veterans experiencing homelessness or hardship. Donations are appreciated but not required to attend.

Most importantly, come out and show your support for the men and women who have served our country. Let's give WCVAC a warm community welcome and help make a difference for local veterans!

✂️ We recently joined community members, local leaders, and Bank of Herrin staff to celebrate the completion of renovations at the Carterville branch with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Guests heard remarks on the bank’s longstanding commitment to the community, toured the updated facility, and explored displays highlighting the institution’s rich local history. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event a success!

DCEO Opportunities to Boost Illinois Tourism:
To boost tourism and economic growth throughout Illinois, the Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (DCEO) is rolling out two grant opportunities to enhance local attractions and events.

Tourism Attraction Grant Program:
This initiative provides grants to help develop or improve tourism attractions, aiming to boost the economic impact of tourism across the state. Eligible applicants include counties, municipalities, local government units, local promotion groups, not-for-profit organizations, and for-profit businesses. Grants range from $15,000 to $200,000.
