Some moments are about the crown. Others remind us what the crown is really for.

This week at Miss America, Kate Dimmett has made Illinois incredibly proud, not only through the way she has carried herself on stage, but through the purpose she brings to everything she does.

Being named a Quality of Life finalist is a remarkable recognition of that purpose and of the real impact Kate is making through her service with Notable Measures. It’s an honor that celebrates the work behind the title, and we can’t think of a more meaningful way to mark her Miss America week.

And now, it’s Finals Night.

Kate, take it all in. You’ve worked for this, you belong on that stage, and you have an entire Illinois family cheering loudly in West Palm Beach and from home.

Whatever tonight brings, you’ve already given us plenty to celebrate.

Now go have your moment, Miss Illinois.

What a week it has been for Brooke Herod, Miss Illinois’ Teen 2026!

From the moment she arrived at Miss America’s Teen, Brooke has represented Illinois with confidence, kindness and so much heart. We have loved watching her take in every moment, make new memories and proudly represent our state on the Miss America stage.

Tonight is Finals Night, and we could not be more excited to cheer her on!

Brooke, no matter what happens tonight, we hope you know how proud your Miss Illinois family is of you and the way you have represented Illinois throughout this entire week.

One more night. One more stage. Go show them what Illinois already knows.

We’re all behind you, Brooke!
