Donation for the Veterans Honor Flight of Southern Illinois
During MHS homecoming week, students collected money to save their hair in a head-shaving competition. They raised $1,165. This would nearly cover the cost of sending two veterans on the flight. Sophia Chickini raised nearly $800 alone. She is presenting the check to Renee Violett and Cru Rounsaville, representatives of Veterans Honor Flight. Also pictured are Molly Odum (student council vice president), Darius James (competition participant), Rounsaville, Violett, Chickini, Kayli Cameron (student council president), and Elly Hale (senior class president). Missing from the photo are Mayleiona Carter (competition participant) and Nevaeh Beck (competition organizer).
