Belated Valentine’s Day Blessing for Those Who Carry Love & Loss
This Valentine’s Day, we honor every heart.
To the ones celebrating new love…
To the ones treasuring a lifetime of memories…
To the ones missing a hand they once held…
To the ones learning how to breathe again…
Love is still sacred here.
For some, today is wrapped in roses and laughter.
For others, it is wrapped in remembrance and quiet tears.
And for many of us, it is both.
If you are a widow, please know this:
Your love story did not end. It changed form.
“Many waters cannot quench love, nor can rivers drown it.” (Song of Songs 8:7 TLV)
The love you shared still lives —
in the strength you carry,
in the courage you show,
in the legacy you continue.
And if you are learning to love again —
without guilt, without shame —
know that your heart is not betraying the past.
It is honoring the God who restores.
The Holy One is near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:19 TLV).
He holds every memory.
He counts every tear.
He wastes nothing.
Today, may you feel permission:
• To celebrate love.
• To grieve love.
• To remember.
• To hope again.
Valentine’s Day is not only for couples.
It is for anyone who has loved deeply.
And that includes you.
With grace, compassion, and steadfast hope,
Happy Belated Valentine’s Day. 💛
