On February 1st, GDA Foundation volunteers screened 110 athletes and made mouth guards for participants at the Special Smiles event held at the winter Special Olympics state games in Cartersville. We had over 55 volunteers made up of dentists, dental hygienists, dental assistants, dental and hygiene students, and pre-dental students from several universities. Overall volunteers were up 61% and screenings were up 69% from last year! Thank you so much to all our volunteers who supported this event! 🦷🤩
