Based on the novel Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann. George Hardy (Hugh Jackman) is a shepherd who loves his sheep and raises them only for their wool. Every night he reads aloud a murder mystery, pretending his sheep can understand, never suspecting that not only can they understand but they argue for hours afterwards about whodunnit. When George is found dead under mysterious circumstances, the sheep realize at once that it was a murder and think they know everything about how to go about solving it. The local cop has never solved a serious crime in his life, so the sheep conclude they will have to solve it themselves, even if it means leaving their meadow for the first time and facing the fact that the human world isn't as simple as it appears in books. The Sheep Detectives is rated PG and opens in theaters on May 8, 2026.

Hollis is our incredible tiger leader. She not only leads this den, but also took over pack communications this year and has done an amazing job. She blends in our few lions to her tiger meetings and makes them feel both welcome and accomplished. Hollis is such an asset to our pack!

Nubia is the proud parent of a Pack 540 scout, and she is always on the scene to lend a kind word and a helping hand. Nubia is jumping in to help the pack continue its legacy of amazing leadership, and we couldn't be prouder to have her on our team.

The 10th Anniversary Heritage Hike will take place on the morning of March 28, 2026, with check-in opening at 7:45 a.m. in front of the Horizon Sanctuary at Ebenezer Baptist Church (101 Jackson St NE, Atlanta, GA 30312).

This year’s experience will include an Opening Ceremony, guided National Park Service rotations, a Heritage Sanctuary talk, and a structured walk along Auburn Avenue culminating at the APEX Museum. As we celebrate ten years of this meaningful tradition, we will continue to highlight the legacy of Auburn Avenue and its profound contributions to Atlanta’s civic and civil rights history while providing Scouts with a meaningful opportunity for reflection, learning, and leadership.

WEEKEND WEATHER UPDATE:

Due to the inclement weather expected this weekend, we are postponing this Sunday's Pinewood Derby races. To ensure the safety of our Scouts and our supporters at the church, we have rescheduled the races for Sunday, February 1st, at 3:00 PM.

Please Note: Weigh-in will still take place tomorrow, Saturday, from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM in the Scout Hut.
