Volunteers Needed to Plant Trees in Marietta!

Join the Marietta Tree Keepers for a fun and rewarding morning helping plant and maintain trees around our community! Grab a friend, bring the family, and donate a little time to make Marietta greener.

Saturday, March 21, 2026
8:30 AM – Sign-in & refreshments
9:00 – 11:00 AM – Tree planting & maintenance

Meet at:
City of Marietta Maintenance Building
434 Sessions Street, Marietta, GA 30060
(near Lewis Park)

How it works:
This is a “scramble” style event. Volunteers will meet at Sessions Street, then head out with a tree leader to various locations around Marietta to plant and maintain trees.

Open to all ages
Youth must be accompanied by an adult for transportation
Tools, gloves & refreshments provided (donuts, coffee & hot chocolate!)
Please dress for outdoor weather

Since 2002, Marietta Tree Keepers has planted 5,500+ trees across the city, helping keep Marietta beautiful. Come be part of the mission!

Seedling varieties may include Catalpa, Willow Oak, Northern Red Oak, Swamp Chestnut Oak, Redbud, Tulip Poplar, Persimmon, and Bald Cypress.

This event is FREE and open to the public — just look for the Marietta Tree Keepers tent and banner!

Thank you to everyone who came out and showed so much love for the City of Marietta’s newest park renovation, Ceminsky Park! It was a wonderful day celebrating with Marietta Parks & Recreation and our amazing community.

And a special thank-you to Councilwoman Richardson for being such a passionate advocate and driving force behind this beautiful neighborhood park.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature isn’t cooperating for the January 31 tree planting at Larry Ceminsky Park. With extremely cold temperatures and soil conditions that aren’t suitable for planting, we’ll need to postpone the event.

We’re hopeful to reconnect in February to plant some much-needed trees.
Until then, stay warm and stay safe—and thank you for your understanding!
