Hard at work in the rain garden!
With recent heavy storms and hurricane rainfall across our area, rain gardens are doing what they do best, absorbing runoff, filtering excess water, and protecting our local waterways.
Earlier this week, our dig team was out at the Wildlife and Rain Garden at Cobb Water, digging and potting up plants to prep for our annual Master Gardener Plant Sale next April!
If you’ve ever attended one of Cobb Water’s free rain barrel workshops, you might already know this spot. The garden has recently been getting an upgrade to its pathways, making it an even better place to see native rain garden plants in action.
Getting these division potted up now gives them time to build strong root systems over the cooler months so they’re robust and ready for your landscape come spring.
