Cobb County Gem and Mineral Society We are geologists, lapidarists (jewelry making), and rock, fossil, gem & mineral collectors. CCGMS meets the second Tuesday of every month at 7pm.

We love learning about geology, stones, rocks, gems, minerals, fossils, and the lapidary arts (jewelry-making). We do this through member meetings, field trips, and various classes and programs offered at our clubhouse, such as First Tuesdays class, cabbing & faceting classes, mineral identification classes, and our Junior Rockhounds program (for school-aged children). We also teach and offer our

members how to use our well-equipped workshop. Our annual public events are our Rock Swap and our CCGMS Gem & Mineral Show. We have guest speakers, small (three-items) auctions, and tasty refreshments.
