Awareness in Action 💙
Last week, Special Needs Cobb had the honor of participating in an advocacy event at the Georgia Capitol to raise awareness about Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS). We were proudly represented by Kay Hiott, our Board President Emeritus, with son, Phillip, Special Needs Cobb resident.
Having Phillip and PWS families with us made this experience especially powerful, reminding legislators that policies are not abstract, but deeply personal and life-shaping.
This impactful advocacy event was organized by Prader-Willi Syndrome Association USA, bringing together families, advocates, and service providers united around one goal: improving care, awareness, and outcomes for individuals with PWS.
We are grateful for the opportunity to amplify these voices and continue advocating for inclusive policies that support individuals with disabilities and their families.
