We'll have some videos over the weekend sharing some of the plans for our Adult Trunk or Treat on October 17th. But we couldn't wait to share our registration page first!

You'll have a few ways to have fun. You can come with a general admission and visit all of the trunks and vote your favorite. You'll also be able to host your own trunk as a community member and compete against others for the title 'Maple Valley Trunk of the Year'. 🧡 HUNGER ACTION MONTH: WHAT IS IT?

September is Hunger Action Month, a national campaign to raise awareness about hunger and inspire people to take action to help end food insecurity.

At Maple Valley Food Bank, we believe ending hunger starts with community. Every donation, volunteer hour, food drive, and shared message is one more way we can come together to support our neighbors.

Throughout September, we’ll be sharing ways you can learn, give, and take action right here in our community.

🥫 THIS WEEK’S MOST NEEDED: CANNED PROTEINS

Protein-rich foods are an important part of healthy, nutritious meals. This week, we’re collecting:

• Beef
• Tuna
• Spam
• Salmon
• Chicken

Planning to donate? Please bring your food donations during our designated donation hours. This helps our team receive, sort, and safely process donations while we’re prepared to accept them.

8th Annual Turkey Trot - Super Early Bird Discount Ends August 31st

Pumpkin Spice is on the shelves and the kids are back at school. It's hard to believe it is almost September, but here it is.

Our Super Early Turkey Discount end on August 31st, register now to sign up at the lowest price. All proceeds benefit Maple Valley Food Bank, fighting hunger and feeding hope for 400 households each week.

We’re looking back with so much gratitude for two wonderful community events we had the opportunity to be part of a couple of weekends ago! ❤️

🎶 On Saturday, we joined Mountain Vineyard Christian Fellowship for their 4th Annual Music Fest & Car Show, alongside our friends at Vine Maple Place.

🏎️ On Sunday, we headed to the Pacific Cascade Mustang Club Show for another fantastic day with members of our community.

Both events gave us the chance to meet new faces, connect with our neighbors, and share more about the work of Maple Valley Food Bank. And, as always, our community showed up in a BIG way!

Together, you helped us collect more than 10 crates of donated food, along with generous monetary contributions that will help us continue providing food and support to local families. 🥫💙

A huge thank you to Mountain Vineyard Christian Fellowship and the Pacific Cascade Mustang Club for welcoming us into your events, and to everyone who stopped by, donated, chatted with our team, or simply took a moment to learn more about the food bank. We’re so grateful for every person who continues to show up for our neighbors.

What a day!

On Monday, we had the joy of helping 276 kids head into the new school year with brand-new backpacks and school supplies! ✏️📚

We are so grateful to everyone who helped make this year’s Backpack Drive such a huge success!

🍕 Thank you to the Maple Valley Rotary Club for coming out and providing pizza, apples, watermelon, and cookies for the families who joined us to pick up backpacks and school supplies.

🎒 Thank you to Maple Valley Backpack Buddies for joining us and having a table set up to connect with and support families.

❤️ And a HUGE thank you to all of our incredible volunteers who gave their time, energy, and heart to make the day possible. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!

Because of this amazing community, 276 kids are heading into the new school year with the supplies they need to learn and succeed. Thank you to everyone who helped make that possible!

We’re happy to share that the Maple Valley Food Bank will be OPEN this week with a MODIFIED MARKET as we continue our cleanup and recovery following last week’s fire.

Please note: We are CLOSED for donations today, Monday, August 17, while we host our School Supply Drive. Donation drop-offs will resume Thursday during our regular donation hours.

Our market will look a little different than usual while we continue working to get everything back to normal. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate these temporary changes.

🚨 REMINDER: MAPLE VALLEY FOOD BANK IS CLOSED THIS WEEK 🚨

Following last week's fire at the Maple Valley Food Bank, we will be CLOSED Monday, August 10 through Friday, August 14 while cleanup and repairs continue.

There will be NO market services or donation drop-offs this week.

If you need food assistance, please see the slides for a list of nearby food banks that are open and available to serve our community.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work toward reopening safely. We’ll continue to share updates as more information becomes available.
