Acts Chapter 6
I was reading Acts 6 today, and it really struck me how this stuff unfolds...
You know how when a motorcycle club starts to boom, it's one thing at first. Everybody knows everybody, everything works smooth. But then you grow. More people, more needs, more chances for something to fall between the cracks. And if something's not right, like someone gets neglected-it doesn't take long before things start to get tense.
That's basically what's happening here. The church is growing like crazy, and suddenly some widows aren't getting fed every day. It's not because these guys are bad people-growth just gets a little messy. But if you let it go unchecked, that's how things start to split.
Here's what I love, though. The apostles don't try to be supermen and handle this themselves. They step back and say, "Look, this is important, but it's not our calling." They need to focus on preaching, so they hand this job off to other guys-guys who are known for being full of the Spirit and wisdom.
This shows me something really key: there are no "unimportant" jobs in God's kingdom. Serving meals, taking care of people-that's not below anyone. In fact, they specifically appointed guys who they could trust implicitly to get this right. It's like entrusting someone to ride shotgun on a tough ride-you don't give that role to just anyone.
And then there's Stephen.
He starts out just serving tables. But he's not just serving tables. He's full of grace and power. The next thing you know, he's performing miracles, boldly speaking truth, and no one can compete with the wisdom he's carrying. It's like the quiet guy in the group who, when push comes to shove, shows he's got incredible depth.
But here's what really gets me-his faith doesn't falter when things turn ugly. The accusations, the pressure, the heat-he doesn't buckle. He stands firm.
It really makes me wonder-what kind of person am I when it gets hard?
Am I only reliable when everyone can see me doing something great? Or am I faithful in the behind-the-scenes things, too? Because, let's be honest, most of life isn't the spotlight; it's the routine. It's the invisible work. It's the moments when no one is cheering.
Acts 6 is a reminder that how we serve is just as important as what we do. Whether you're "on stage" or just handling what needs to get done, God sees it all. And sometimes, the most faithful servants are the ones God trusts with the biggest tasks.
Much Love & Respect, Rev
Make it a great day

ā€œBruised But Still Standingā€
Acts 5:40-42
The apostles were beaten.
Whipped.
Humiliated.
Threatened.
And then something unbelievable happened.
Acts 5:41 ā€œThen they left the presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor for the name.ā€
They rejoiced.
Most people today quit over criticism.
The apostles kept going after beatings.
Why would they do that?
Because they understood something deep:
Jesus was worth everything.
A road-worn biker with scars, patched denim, weathered hands, miles behind him carries a different kind of respect.
Not because life was easy.
BECAUSE HE STAYED STANDING.
The Christian walk is not soft.
IT'S WARFARE.
Some days you’ll feel tired.
Misunderstood.
Attacked.
Lonely.
DON’T STOP RIDING.
Acts 5:42 ā€œAnd every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching that the Christ is Jesus.ā€
They never stopped.
That’s the challenge for us today.
Not perfection.
Faithfulness.
Keep praying.
Keep loving.
Keep serving.
Keep preaching.
Keep showing up.
Keep believing.
Somebody around you is watching how you handle suffering.
Your endurance and how you react may change someone's life.
Questions:
What has made you want to quit lately?
How have struggles and hard times strengthened your faith instead of destroying it?
What are a few things you can do to make you stronger this week and increase your endurance?
Prayer:
Lord, help me stay faithful even when life gets hard. Give me endurance, courage, and joy that cannot be shaken by suffering. Help me keep pointing people to Jesus no matter what comes against me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

ā€œFaithfulness is riding through the rain and storms while others huddle under a bridge.ā€

DON’T FIGHT AGAINST GOD
ā€œWhen Hell Realizes It Can’t Stop The Move Of Godā€
Acts 5:30-39
The religious leaders wanted the apostles dead.
But a Pharisee named Gamaliel stood up and warned them.
ā€œIf this plan or this undertaking (Mission) is of man, it will fail; but if it is of God, you will not be able to overthrow them.ā€ — Acts 5:38-39
That statement still shakes the earth today.
If God is in it, hell cannot stop it.
People may mock you.
Criticize you.
Lie about you.
Walk away from you.
Betray you.
But when God puts His hand on something, no devil in hell can destroy it.
A biker who has survived wrecks, storms, betrayal, broken bones, and hard roads rides differently.
There’s a toughness forged through pain.
The church in Acts was forged in pressure.
Persecution didn’t weaken them.
It purified them, it was like the worst prospect time you could imagine and now they are the full patched Mother Chapter.
Some of the hardest seasons in your life may actually be preparing you for your greatest ministry.
God uses scars.
God uses broken people.
God uses recovering addicts.
God uses ex-cons.
God uses wounded warriors.
God uses ordinary people who finally surrender fully.
The enemy attacks what threatens him. You may not even feel like a threat, just your being somewhere may make someone unhappy or uncomfortable.
And maybe the reason you’ve been under such heavy pressure is because your life carries purpose.
DO NOT QUIT NOW!
ā€œAnd let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.ā€ — Galatians 6:9 (ESV)
HOLD THE LINE!
Questions:
What pressure or attack have I been facing lately?
Could God be using this season to strengthen me?
Am I tempted to quit something God called me to?
Prayer:
Lord, strengthen me when I feel exhausted. Help me trust You in hard seasons. Remind me that if You are for me, nothing can stop Your purpose in my life. In Jesus name, Amen.
ā€œWHEN THE BOOTS HIT THE GROUND, JESUS IS AROUND!ā€ -Rev

JAILED FOR DOING RIGHT
ā€œYou Can Chain A Man… But Not The Gospelā€
Acts 5:17-32 17 But the high priest rose up, and all who were with him (that is, the party of the Sadducees), and filled with jealousy 18 they arrested the apostles and put them in the public prison. 19 But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out and said, 20 ā€œGo and stand in the temple and speak to the people all the words of this Life.ā€
The religious leaders were furious.
The apostles were preaching Jesus everywhere.
People were changing.
The system was losing control.
So they arrested them.
But during the night, God sent an angel to open the prison doors.
And what did the apostles do?
They went right back to preaching.
That’s boldness.
ā€œWe must obey God rather than men.ā€ Acts 5:29
That verse punches hard.
Because most people today are terrified of rejection.
Terrified of criticism.
Terrified of offending somebody.
But the apostles feared God more than public opinion.
Every biker knows there are moments where you decide what kind of man you really are.
Do you fold under pressure?
Do you compromise to fit in?
Do you stay silent when truth matters?
Or do you stand?
The disciples had already seen Jesus crucified.
They had already suffered.
And still they kept preaching.
Why?
Because once you encounter the risen Christ, everything changes.
Some of you reading this know exactly what it feels like to be trapped.
Maybe not behind steel bars.
But trapped in addiction.
Shame.
Fear.
Depression.
Bitterness.
Regret.
Hear this clearly:
Jesus still opens prison doors.
The enemy wants you convinced you’ll never change.
But chains break in the name of Jesus.
You are not too far gone.
The cross was built for people with wrecked lives.
Questions:
What pressures tempt me to stay silent about my faith?
What chains do I need Jesus to break?
Do I obey God even when it costs me something?
Prayer:
Lord, make me bold. Give me courage to stand for truth no matter the cost. Break every chain in my life and use my story to help others find freedom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

ā€œThe world may chain your body, but it cannot chain the Gospel.ā€

THE DEVIL CAN’T STOP WHAT GOD IS BLESSING
ā€œRevival Hits The Streetsā€
Acts 5:12-16 12 Now many signs and wonders were regularly done among the people by the hands of the apostles…

Something powerful was happening in Jerusalem.
The apostles weren’t hiding.
They weren’t backing down.
They weren’t worried about public opinion.
And God moved.
Acts 5:14 ā€œAnd more than ever believers were added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women.ā€
The church exploded.
People were getting healed.
Addicts were getting set free.
Broken people were finding hope.
The streets started changing because the Spirit of God was moving through ordinary people who were fully surrendered.
That’s what happens when real revival shows up.
Revival is not smoke machines.
It’s not emotional hype.
It’s not Christian entertainment.
Revival happens when people become desperate for God again.
Imagine what would happen if bikers, addicts, blue-collar workers, wounded veterans, struggling families, and broken people encountered the real power of Jesus.
Not religion.
Not fake smiles.
Not church politics.
Jesus!
The kind of Jesus who walks into darkness and changes everything.

When a pack of bikes rolls through town together, everybody notices.
You hear the thunder before you see the headlights.
There’s power in unity.
The early church moved like that.
Together.
Bold.
United.
Fearless.
And the devil couldn’t stop it.
The enemy still fears a church that is:
Spirit-filled
United
Bold
Compassionate
Unashamed of Jesus
Some people think the church is dying.
But God has always done His greatest work in dark times.
Light shines brightest in darkness.
The same God who moved in Acts can still move in Lancaster County.
He can move your town.
He can move in your home.
He can move in your family.
But revival starts with surrendered people.
Questions:
Do I truly believe God can still move powerfully today?
What areas of my life need revival?
Am I helping build unity or division?
Prayer:
Lord, wake us up again. Let revival begin in our hearts, our homes, and our communities. Fill us with boldness and compassion. Help us stop playing church and start living fully surrendered lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

ā€œRevival starts when ordinary people stop making excuses and start surrendering fully to God.ā€ -Rev

A Christian pastor kept preaching as U.K. police officers place him in handcuffs on a busy street outside London.

Pastor Steve Maile, 66, says officers arrested him after complaints about his sermon, where he preached about Jesus and spoke critically about Islam.

ā€œI don’t preach hate ... I preach the love of God, the mercy of God and the goodness of God in Christ Jesus,ā€ Maile told FOX News Digital.

Police initially told Maile he was under arrest for assaulting a teenager, a charge Maile denied and which was later dropped. Maile remains under investigation for an alleged public order offense.
