Welcome Deana Ruhl to the Hope Served Board of Directors!
Deana is currently pursuing her PhD at Bentley University in Strategic Leadership & Business Analytics, earned her Master’s Degree from Marymount University in HR Management, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/Human Resources from Messiah University. Her HR experience has spanned at two Fortune 500 companies - Bayer Pharmaceuticals in Myerstown, PA and Howard Hughes Biomedical Research Medical Institute in Potomac, MD.
Her HR skills range from strategic leadership and mentoring, positive employee relations in maintaining a union-free status, employee engagement and mental health strategy leadership, government regulated auditing, workforce development, talent management, and streamlining operational/policy efficiencies. She is currently independently consulting for various businesses on a part time basis, while pursuing her PhD. Her PhD research interests include developing fun-based learning techniques to assist developing managers in mastering difficult-to-learn interpersonal skills in order to ensure retention, development, and success within an organization.
Deana currently resides in Manheim, PA, with her husband Doug Ruhl and their daughter Alana who has Down Syndrome and Autism, who was a graduate of Manheim Central High School. They also have a son, Derick, who lives in York County, PA with his wife Taylor and daughters Kinsley and Riley. Deana and Doug have played various integral roles in the start up and continuation of LCBC (church) in Manheim, PA, with Doug being a charter member at the beginning in 1986. The LCBC staff continues to partner well with Deana & Doug in ensuring that Alana remains an integral part of the Kindergarten Leadership Worship Team.
