We join with Manheim BIC Church and our community in prayer for Manheim. We agree- "Prayer is a powerful answer, not a passive response." 🙏 🤲
Dear Church Family,
As you know, our community has been hit pretty heavily in the last month. If you have been in conversation in the community, then you are probably also aware of the shock and uncertainty that many are experiencing. Between the recent shooting, the sudden medical crisis of the wrestling coach, and the ongoing high school investigation, so many of our neighbors, students, and families are hurting and looking for hope.
In times like this, the most powerful thing we can do is to slow down and draw near. I hope to never grow weary of saying this, but, not only is prayer a powerful answer, not a passive response, but it is also an easy step for anyone to take whether they feel near or far from God.
With that said, this Sunday evening, June 7, from 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM, we are partnering with several local churches in the community to host a Community Prayer Night here at MBIC. Local pastors, counselors, and therapists will be on site to be a comfort to those in need.
Our hope is that this will provide a safe place for reflection and prayer around six key areas: healing for victims, physical healing for coach Eno, for unity, wisdom and guidance in the investigation, wisdom for school leadership, and safety for our students this summer.
Let’s come together as a community and show support to our neighbors, coaches, and schools as we navigate this trying time.
We hope to see you this Sunday night.
With love,
Pastor Bryce and the MBIC Staff
