🚨🥇At last night’s District 27 Banquet, we had the honor of celebrating Chester Valley Little League’s 2026 Volunteer of the Year, Mike Miley! (Pictured L to R, Coach Miley, CVLL President - Spencer Curtiss, District Administrator - Jeff Bennett)
Some volunteers make an impact on teams. Others make an impact on an entire program. Coach Miley has without a doubt done both.
For several years, Coach Mike has led our AA Division, our largest and arguably one of the toughest divisions to run in Little League. It’s where young players begin transitioning from introductory baseball to something that starts to resemble the real game.
Mike has taken that challenge and truly made the division his own. While he could have moved up through the ranks with his own kids, he chose to stay in AA, investing his time in developing young players and, just as importantly, mentoring an entirely new wave of coaches. His patience, knowledge, and genuine interest in every kid who comes through the program have made an incredible difference.
And somehow, he finds the time to do all of this while coaching his three sons and multiple Malvern Mambas travel teams. Anyone who has been around youth baseball knows the unbelievable amount of time and effort all these commitments take. Yet Mike continues to give even more of himself to CVLL, always putting the kids and the program first.
What makes Coach Mike special isn’t just the countless players he’s helped develop, but the coaches he’s helped along the way. His impact will be felt throughout Chester Valley for years to come.
Mike is exactly the kind of person that makes Chester Valley Little League what it is. We’re lucky to have him, and couldn’t be happier to recognize him as our 2026 Volunteer of the Year.
Thanks for everything you do, Coach Mike. It’s appreciated more than you know!
