Malvern Memorial Cabin

Malvern Memorial Cabin The Malvern Memorial Cabin community center was constructed in 1957. The initial funds were a gift from Larry and Berth LaRue whose sone perished in WWII.

The cabin was constructed in 1957 and dedicated in 1958. The initial funds were a gift from Larry and Berth LaRue whose son Richard perished in WWII. Parts of the cabin such as the main beam, fireplace and front step, were salvaged from historic buildings in the surrounding area. The maintenance and upkeep of the cabin now falls to the local supporters and community. We are will continue improving

the grounds and building and to work with the program leaders to make improvements to support the various Scouting, youth, autism, and adult programs which call the cabin home. The Malvern Memorial Cabin Fund provides funds for scholarships and camper-ships to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to take part in these programs.
