This is Guinness, and he needs your help. ❤️

This sweet boy is having surgery today. He arrived earlier this month with a prior leg injury that left him without a paw and an awkward nub prone to irritation that hasn’t fully healed. 😢 Today, Guinness will have the affected leg amputated.

Please keep this brave boy in your thoughts for a successful surgery and recovery. 💓

The Fur had a wonderful Sunday! Thank you to those who popped by during our open house hours today. We’d really love to thank Fancy Cat Hotel Madison for stopping by - it was a pleasure to meet you! Thank you so much for donating some yummy Creamy treats for our guests to enjoy. 🙏 They love them! 🩷 For anyone who is looking for a reputable and classy place for their kitty family members to stay while they’re away, please consider the luxury lodging of the Fancy Cat Hotel located in Madison, WI! Hammy approves, so you know it is top-notch. 👍 🐾 And Guinness really enjoyed a snack. He has a very big day tomorrow - an amputation surgery with Underdog Pet Rescue of Wisconsin, Inc. - and this treat was extra-loved. 💕

We have a weekend mews update! We welcomed a new guest to the Fur this week: Yashi! This handsome 8-year-old Tonkinese boy will be available for adoption and his profile up on our website soon.

We’re having Open House Hours tomorrow, Sunday, Aug. 30, from 11 AM–2 PM! Stop in to say hi to our adorable and adoptable guests - many are still waiting for their forever homes 🤞 and would love your company! 💕

🎉 Wonderful news for Hammy! He reached his dental fundraiser goal! 🦷 Hammy and all of us are so grateful for your incredible support. Thank you so very, very much! 🙏💙 plans to attend the Monona Farmers Market tomorrow, Sunday, if you’d like to congratulate him and direct him to the booth with the best catnip. 🌱

And coming soon: Guinness’s story. This very special boy came to us missing a paw, and while we don’t know what happened, we’re determined to give him all the comfort and care he deserves. 🐾 He’ll be having surgery this Monday, and we’ll share more soon. In the meantime, please keep Guinness in your thoughts - and come give this affectionate boy some love on Sunday. ❤️

Cookie originally traveled all the way from Kuwait to seek his fortune and find a loving family here in the U.S. - and in June, he finally achieved his goal! ❤️ ✅
This friendly, fun-loving and action-packed gentleman spent time not only at the Fur, but also with an outstanding foster 🙌 who helped him along his journey. After a couple of months, this smart Cookie earned all the credits he needed to graduate into his forever home. 🎓 ✨

We’re so purr-oud of him and wish him all the happiness in his happily-ever-after. Congratulations to this handsome action cat and his wonderful new family on their Gotcha Day! 🥳 👏 We wish them many years of love, purrs, joy, and plenty of pawsome adventures together! 💕

Our guests have spoken, and their request is clear: please keep the wet food coming! 😸 Our kibble supply is looking good, as evidenced by Indy here enjoying a nibble, but our pantry could use a boost of wet food variety - especially for those kitties with more discerning palates. 👑

Some of our guests’ favorites include:

🐾 Meet Bud Light! 🐾

Who is this classic and refreshing little buddy? Why, it’s Bud Light - from the Fur’s curated six-pack! 🍻 This Domestic Longhair tabby is estimated to be 8–10 years old and has plenty of love to give! 🥰 He’s neutered, vaccinated, and even has a little Manx tail for an extra splash of cuteness.

This bubbly boy is one of the most affectionate kitties around. 💕 He loves snuggling close to your neck and face while reaching out for for hugs and kisses. He’s friendly and playful, but what he wants most is to be right by your side. Lap cat? Heck yes! And he seems to prefer the company of humans over the company of other cats.

Bud Light is fully loaded with carbonated purrs, crisp meows, extra affection and is totally ready to be somebody’s best friend! Love a pint-size cuddle bug? Then this Bud’s for you! 🍻
