As the temperatures begin to drop across Wisconsin, keeping our homes warm without breaking the bank is top of mind for everyone. ❄️

🏠Did you know? Weatherization delivers an average of 18% in annual heating savings for households! By sealing air leaks, adding insulation, and improving energy efficiency, weatherized homes stay cozy and warm all winter long while keeping heating costs down.

As we celebrate Energy Awareness Month and 50 years of the Weatherization Assistance Program, Project Home is proud to help local families stay warm, safe, and comfortable through the coldest months of the year. 💙

As we celebrate National Energy Awareness Month and mark the 50th Anniversary of the Weatherization Assistance Program, we love looking back at the real, lasting impacts our work has on families right here in our neighborhoods.

One year after her weatherization project, Melyssa shared how the updates brought not only lower utility bills and year-round comfort, but crucial peace of mind regarding home safety and durability.

🏡 One Year Later: Real Results from Our Weatherization Program!

Ever wonder what a whole-home weatherization upgrade really feels like over the long haul? We checked in with a local homeowner one full year after their project was completed to see how things are holding up!

Here is what they had to say:
✨ Consistent Comfort: No more drafty rooms or wild temperature swings—just steady, comfortable living through every season.
📉 Lower Utility Bills: Looking back at a full year of energy use, they’ve seen steady savings on their monthly statements.
🛡️ Total Peace of Mind: Knowing their home is safer, healthier, and built to last brings incredible comfort.

When asked what they’d tell friends and neighbors about working with us, they said: "Don't wait—reach out and see how Project Home can help you. It makes a world of difference!"

We are deeply honored to help local families create safer, more energy-efficient homes every single day. 💙💚

This October, we are shining a light on a staggering reality and the vital work being done to change it.

Did you know that low-income households spend 14% of their income on energy, compared to just 3% for higher-income households? That is a massive burden for families already trying to make ends meet.

But for 50 years, the Weatherization Assistance Program has stepped in to help close this gap, making homes more energy-efficient and drastically lowering utility bills.

And Project Home is proud to be one of the local agencies on the ground delivering this life-changing work! ❤️ There is nothing quite like the feeling of helping a local family stay warm, safe, and financially secure by making their home truly energy-efficient.

Here’s to closing the energy burden gap and strengthening our community, one home at a time! 🏡⚡
