The Catholic Charities Adult Day Center provides support and respite for family caregivers while their loved one is in a safe, social, fun environment during the day. This enables caregivers to go to work, run errands, and get a much needed break from their care duties at home. The center has been in operation and caring for older adults and adults with medical conditions for 40+ years. On July 1,
2012, CareWisconsin and Catholic Charities Diocese of Madison jointly announced the transition of the Adult Day Center from Care Wisconsin to Catholic Charities Diocese of Madison. In December 2016 we relocated to a new building that was taken down to the studs, completely renovated, and custom-designed to best serve our participants. We are proud to be accredited with the Council on Accreditation, a member of the Wisconsin Adult Day Services Association, and a certified MUSIC & MEMORY SM facility through Dan Cohen's MUSIC & MEMORY SM Certification Program. Some of the services we provide include: a specific program for people with dementia and Alzheimer's, health monitoring, individualized care for medical conditions, medical and recreation staff, heated accessible showers, and engaging daily activities. Participants attend 1-5 days per week and spend their day with us socializing and enjoying fun activities with peers and community volunteers; meanwhile, we provide a safe environment with professional staff to care for them and assist with medical needs. Because we are a non-profit program of Catholic Charities, we are able to provide an affordable alternative to in-home health care. Like all of Catholic Charities' services, we serve and employ persons regardless of sexual orientation, religious, ethnic, racial or social background. Call us at 608-826-8106 with any questions, to schedule a tour, or to find out how much it would cost for your loved one(s) to attend. The fee depends upon the level of care needed by each individual, however, many people are pleasantly surprised to discover the price for our high-quality service is more affordable when compared to other health care options.
