The mission of the Tergar Meditation Community is to make the ancient practice of meditation accessible to the modern world. For centuries, the practice of meditation has been used by countless individuals to transform suffering into joy and confusion into wisdom. Tergar meditation and study programs are designed to facilitate this transformation. Under the guidance of Yongey Mingyur Rinpoche, a r

emarkable teacher celebrated for his ability to make the practice of meditation accessible to people of all backgrounds, the Tergar community of meditation centers and practice groups provides a comprehensive course of meditation training and study, with programs for Buddhists and non-Buddhists alike. Each session short presentations on the basics of meditation practice, guided meditations, and group discussion. The group is offered on a donation-basis and is open to all. If you are new to meditation and would like to learn more, or if you are a seasoned practitioner and would like to deepen your practice, please join us as we explore the practice of mindfulness.

In a world where young people have access to more information than ever before, something essential still feels missing.

In his latest essay, Tergar Institute Co-Executive Director Justin Kelley, PhD turns to classical Tibetan Buddhist thought to ask a deeper question: what does it take to cultivate not just knowledge, but a genuine sense of why it matters? A timely and searching reflection for educators, practitioners, and anyone who cares about how we learn to live well.

If this resonates, we invite you to explore the Foundations of Buddhist Experience: Tergar Institute's flagship program, where this kind of learning comes alive: fbe.tergarinstitute.org/foundations-of-buddhist-experience-2026
