The Emerson Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is a group of parents, teachers, and community members who all want to help contribute to Emerson Elementary School. Any person who has a child attending Emerson Elementary, lives in the Emerson community, or is a member of Emerson staff is a member of the PTO. We are always welcoming new members to join in the fun! Come share your ideas at
a meeting, help with an event, and/or support us through our fundraisers. The objectives of this organization will be promoted and developed through committees, projects, and programs directed by the members. The role of the PTO is to:
-Facilitate communication between families, staff, and school community
-Work together as a school community to benefit Emerson students;
-Provide opportunities for families, staff, and school community to learn together;
-Plan activities for PTO; and
-Manage the budget for PTO sponsored activities. Los propósitos del PTO son:
-Servir como una forma de comunicación para familias, personal de la escuela y comunidad.
-Trabajar todos juntos como una comunidad de la escuela para beneficiar a las/los estudiantes de Emerson.
-Dar oportunidades a las familias, personal de la escuela y comunidad de aprender juntos.
-Planear actividades para el PTO.
-Manejar el presupuesto para auspiciar las actividades del PTO.
