Juneteenth reminds us of the power of resilience and the importance of continued progress. This holiday commemorates June 19th, 1865, the end of slavery in the United States, which occurred approximately two and a half years after the signing of the Emancipation Proclamation.

At United Way of Wisconsin, we believe true freedom includes access to opportunity, support, and resources for all. We are proud to support stronger, more equitable communities every day.
