Our 2nd Gay Arts Group meets this weekend! Register here for "Significant Dates: Poetry Workshop": https://tinyurl.com/GayArtsGroupReg
Workshop Bio: Is there a day of the year seared into your mind? A certain month that always sneaks up on you? An anniversary that never fails to capture your heart? In this poetry workshop, facilitator Kai hopes to group-think around care, dates, and time, using language as a guide to document the changing world around us. 10/10/01 was the day Kai's brother Khamari was born. The birthday of a true giant. Apart from their joyful big brother and thinking about the intimacy of this day, the poet invites participants to hold this moment of reflection, the fall equinox, and the closing of the year accessed via birthday blues. Please join Kai for this 25th solar cycle and be a part of this special day on the page. This workshop is open to all skill levels and all disciplines. Participants will walk away with doodles, exposure to new media, and writing prompts.
