Covenant Shelter of New London Inc your work saves lives and your win remarkable!

Inspired by this Shoreline CT collaboration of like-minded women philanthropists, KSF’s Executive Director, Nicole Talmadge proudly joined the volunteer efforts of Impact 100.

Thank you for two fabulous events and the opportunity to roll up our sleeves as members and non-profit partners 🌟

Although Traveling Toys did not receive the Big Give grant this year, we are incredibly honored to have been selected as one of the four finalists by Impact 100 Southern Connecticut.

Congratulations to Covenant Shelter of New London on receiving this year's award. Their team does outstanding work every day to provide emergency shelter for families in need, and we are thrilled to see their efforts recognized.

We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to cheer us on and support our mission. 💙

A special thank you to the generous Impact100 member who presented Traveling Toys with a $5,000 gift to help us continue expanding access to play across Connecticut. Thank you to the Catholic Academy of Bridgeport for hosting Kids’ Scholarship Fund at your annual dinner. We had a wonderful time and loved meeting some of your amazing students and dedicated community members.

CAB educates nearly 900 pre-K through 8th grade students each year — and the results speak for themselves:

• 100% of students graduate high school
• 99% go on to college or post‑secondary programs

With 96% of families needing tuition assistance, CAB works tirelessly to keep high‑quality education accessible. The annual tuition is $5,685, but the true cost to educate each student is $9,000, and the school receives $0 in per‑pupil government funding.

Each year, Kids’ Scholarship Fund is proud to support over 30 CAB students across the school’s four campuses through our scholarship program.

We’re grateful for CAB’s partnership and inspired by the students who remind us why this work matters.

No matter where we come from, what we look like, or how much money our family has, every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.

Since 1995, KSF has awarded over $22 million in scholarships, opening doors for more than 10,000 Connecticut students to attend the K–8 school that fits them best. Each year, families use KSF scholarships to choose from 30–40 private and parochial schools across the state.

Important Dates for the 2026–27 Scholarship Application Cycle

The Kids’ Scholarship Fund application window is right around the corner. Families can begin applying on March 2 at 8:00 AM EST, with all applications due by April 15. Final notifications will be shared by May 15.
