Saturday September 12th 2026. What an amazing day! Over 400 athletes - younger,older, para-athletes, first timers and elite athletes from across the US converged on the Madison Surf Club for the 40th annual Dave Parcells Madison "MadTri" Sprint Triathlon. Now a fully sanctioned USAT race athletes are now able to leverage this race for National competitions.

Congratulations to our top winners - Roan Christmann and Abigail Oneil!! Both 16 year old! Congratulations also to all our athletes who came out on an early beautiful fall morning with perfect conditions and had a great time. We even had a surprise visit by who followed the whole race and did a live interview with us!

Thank you to the following groups who without their assistance we could not make this race happen.

1) Madison Police and Fire Departments for keeping athletes safe on the roads and in the water.
2) Madison Public Works for doing an amazing job on patching up Warpus and Winterhill roads for the race.
3) Madison Beach and Recreation who help us run a smooth race at the Surf Club.

OK so this is it!!! In less than 48 hours from now, you can be swimming, biking and running with the BIG Dogs. Elite athletes from around the USA are converging on Madison CT to compete in the 40th annual Dave Parcells Madison CT Jaycees Triathlon How about you? You talk about it, you dream about BUT can you do it? Do you have it in you? Do you have the courage to push yourself one last time? This race is for everyone and if you don't want to do one of the events get a buddy to join you in a relay team. Just come out and have fun. The weather will be amazing but it will be an even greater day if you join us.

You can choose courage, or you can choose comfort, but you cannot choose both.

One week from today hundreds of athletes from around the USA will come to Madison to participate in the 40th annual Dave Parcells Madison Sprint Triathlon. With support from high school and community volunteers this always turns out to be a great event. We are so grateful to all our donors and sponsors and hope to see you there. If you are considering the event- .5 mile swim, 3 mile run and 13 mile bike ride. Options? Get a relay team to break it up or just choose the aqua bike option. Or just come to the surf club to see the event - Starts at 7am.
