Costumes ready? Because Macon’s Halloween weekend is about to be the best one yet. 🎃

If you love a good scare, the rockcandytours Macon Macabre tour and the Rocky Horror Picture Show special date are right up your alley. If you’d rather watch a show, the Thriller Parade will bring the spectacle. Families can trick-or-treat downtown and see Disney On Ice , while the grown-ups can sip their way through the Boos and Booze Bar Crawl. And if all that makes you hungry, Macon Burger Week is happening at the same time. 🍔

👻 Did you know Georgia has a geographic region called the Fall Line that’s been linked to some strange stories in both Visit Macon and Visit Augusta | Augusta, GA 👀

Sozo Bear Films just released a documentary* about it, so I thought I’d share an itinerary inspired by some of the stories.

The itinerary is a mix of spooky and not-so-spooky things to do and places to eat. It’s perfect if you’re looking for something a little different to do this fall.

You can split it into two 24-hour getaways, pick your favorite spots for a day trip, or combine both cities into one mini-roadtrip.

Fall at Lane Southern Orchards is officially in full swing! 🍂

The Fall Farm Festival has a corn maze, hayrides, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, and educational wildlife shows, so there’s something for everyone in your crew.

And here’s the fun part: the corn maze has Disney signs hidden throughout. Find them and you could win weekly prizes and tickets to Disney on Ice, October 30th to November 1st.

Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Macon. 💛 Today we’re grateful for the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, whose history and culture are woven deeply into Macon.

Ocmulgee Mounds NHP holds more than 17,000 years of human history, and we’re thankful for the people who cared for this land long before any of us called it home. Their strength, their traditions, and their enduring presence make our community richer.

We’re honored to share this place with the Muscogee people today, and we appreciate everything they continue to teach us. 💛

On Saturday, October 17th, Macon Beyond: Spirits & Song takes over the The Piedmont Grand Opera House. 👻Start the night with BBQ on the Grand’s stage, then settle in for haunting Appalachian ballads from nestofsingingbirds. After that, follow Carrie Genzel , Morrighan Lynne , and Jonathan Morgan into the theatre’s most unsettling spaces to see what, if anything, answers back. 👀
