The King of Soul Festival is back, and this year marks five years of celebrating Otis Redding’s life, legacy, and birthday right here in Macon.💙🎶

It all kicks off Wednesday, September 9 at 10am with the Otis Redding Way Dedication and Birthday Celebration.

Then on Friday, September 11 at 8pm, head to the Robins Financial Capitol Theatre for the Big ‘O’ Homecoming Show & Dance, featuring a DJ set from NINA SKY .🎶

The weekend wraps up Saturday, September 12 at 6:30pm at the Macon City Auditorium with An Evening of Respect, featuring special guests CeeLo Green , Lamont Landers | Soul Singer , Eric Burton , and more.🎶🎤

AJSA Racing is back in Macon this weekend, August 28-30th, for a full slate of watercross action at Sandy Beach Park on Lake Tobeskofee.💦

Catch racer practice Friday, the Pro Show and watercross racing Saturday, and the final day of competition Sunday starting at 9am.

Expect food trucks, freestyle jet skis, a Virtual Jet Ski Experience and plenty of chances to get up close with the racers and their machines.

The Macon Mural Festival is back September 11-13, and this one’s worth clearing your schedule for. Artists from all over are coming in to paint new murals on buildings throughout downtown, live, all weekend. 👩‍🎨Walk the streets, watch them work, and come through Saturday night for the Mural Celebration Party. 💜
